Sky launches into the streaming era with Sky X
Sky X changes the television experience – starting in Austria. Because from now on internet access is sufficient to see the entire Sky content and the best free TV channels anytime, anywhere: smart, easy and flexible.
The challenge was to find a name that expresses fast and simplified access through the internet and without contract durations on the one side, and premium entertainment content on the other side.
This has been achieved with only one letter: The X on its own catches your eye. X means something extra or added, as in X-S and X-L. The X also stands for things that are exciting and that haven’t been discovered yet. This letter is rare what makes it especially "valuable" (like in Scrabble). Following the motto, “less is more”, this name does not need any great explanation, but it just adds a distinctive touch.
